Port Coquitlam is a city in British Columbia, Canada, and one of the 21 municipalities that make up Metro Vancouver. Located 27 km (17 mi) east of Vancouver, the city sits on the north bank of the confluence of the Fraser River and the Pitt River. It is bordered by Coquitlam to the north and west, with Pitt Meadows situated across the Pitt River. The city is bisected by the Lougheed Highway and the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway. Often referred to as "PoCo," Port Coquitlam is the 93rd-largest municipality in Canada by population.
